Welcome to Geneva!
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Swiss Society of Small Animal Medicine, I am really pleased to invite you to the WSAVA 2010 world meeting in Geneva on June 2 to 5. We are planning to offer you a stimulating scientific meeting as well as a large and attractive social programme. The FECAVA and the FAFVAC will be associated to our congress and hold their annual symposium. Parallel to the main meeting in English, German and French streams will be organised. Geneva is a living postcard with a long history of warm and generous host reception, dating back to the 17th century. All sessions will be held at the Palexpo, near the airport, with a direct train connection to the main railway station of Geneva, downtown near the lake and all facilities of the city centre.
Waiting to seeing you there
Chris Amberger Chairman of the Local Organising Comittee
WSAVA (World Small Animal Veterinary Association) is an international network of 76 member associations and affiliated organisations, representing over 70,000 individual veterinarians world wide. Each year an Annual World Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress is held in a different part of the world, hosted by a member association under the auspices of the WSAVA. The Congress attracts large numbers of veterinarians from many countries who are able to learn from top international speakers on all aspects of small animal practice. Proceeding from the Congress is available to veterinary schools, libraries and individuals, and provide a valuable source of the most up-to-date knowledge of medicine and surgery.
The Association’s primary purpose is to advance the quality and availability of veterinary medicine and surgery relating to small animals. This broad aim is achieved in a number of different ways.
WSAVA
•WSAVA fosters the exchange of scientific information, both between individual veterinarians and between their veterinary organizations. •WSAVA furthers international relationships between all veterinarians dealing with small animal health and welfare. •WSAVA promotes the standing of small animal practice, in particular, by presenting annual Awards for Scientific Achievement, for Service to the profession, for Excellence in Orthopaedics and for Excellence in Veterinary Healthcare.
